One thing moving companies in Kinston, NC and all around the country know, is that the biggest part of moving is getting rid of the clutter. Everytime someone moves, so much of their clutter has to be sorted through and thrown away. Whether you’re getting ready for a big move or just want to stay organized, here are 7 things to throw out in the next 7 days.

1. Old Receipts

Go ahead, dig through your purse and wallet. If there’s no reason to save the receipts- throw them out! They are just occupying space and making more mess.

2. Out of Date Cosmetics

Don’t keep old make up- if it’s been more than 6 months, it’s time to go. Same goes for lotions, perfumes, and shampoo. It’s not going to work well and there’s probably a reason you haven’t used it. Chuck it.

3. Expired Coupons and Junk Mail

Why did you even keep this in the first place? These aren’t even remotely useful to you. Do yourself a favor and throw that trash out.

4. Empty Jars and Storage Containers

If you’re not using these for storage, you probably don’t actually need them. Believe it, there is actually such a thing as too many boxes or storage containers. Get rid of them.

5. Unused Rewards Cards

If you’re not using them already, you either don’t go to the establishment enough or care enough about the rewards to be using it. Make sure there aren’t any charges and cut those cards. You don’t need them.

6. Clothes You Never Wear

If you’re not wearing it, you don’t need it in your closet. Far too often people buy and keep clothes because it represents the type of person they want to be. You don’t have room for that.
If you can’t make space to wear it, find someone who can. Donate it or sell it if you can.

7. Worn Out Sheets and Washcloths

If they’re worn out and especially if you’re not using them, get rid of them. It’s probably time for new ones anyway. You only want room in your home for high quality things you can actually use.

What’s Next?
